What We Do

Science tells us that a plant’s “food factory” isn’t underground in the soil, it’s in the leaves and it relies on just three primary ingredients:  water, sunlight and Carbon Dioxide (CO2).  Via photosynthesis, plants use these three inputs to generate nearly all plant matter – roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruit and nuts.

Although atmospheric
CO2 levels have been on the rise, plants evolved at a time when CO2 levels were higher yet. They "know" how to put more CO2 to work. With elevated CO2 plants can grow bigger and faster, are healthier, and are also more water-use efficient.

What if we were to take waste
CO2 from industrial processes and apply it to agriculture? That's the genesis of AG Gas. Working with Fresno State University, UC Davis and the USDA, AG Gas proved the efficacy of CO2 enrichment on open-air crops ... more than doubling the marketable yield of tomatoes in one university-led study. We have since refined and commercialized that process to create the world's most technologically-advanced CO2 enrichment solution. One that typically results in yield improvements of 30% or more.

The patented AG Gas Carbogation system reacts in real-time to environmental conditions – light, heat, humidity and
CO2 levels – and applies just the right amount of CO2 to the right place at the right time. This is true whether you're growing outdoors or in controlled-environments. Our turn-key solution includes important life safety features and offers a cost-effective way of implement CO2 enrichment in agriculture.
